ZAOstock Round 8 - Cut The Radio Session For Instagram

Pot $53.25 - 12 entries

CUT THE RADIO SESSION INTO ONE INSTAGRAM REEL. Zaal was live in the Star 97.7 studio this morning talking ZAOstock with Paul and Mike. Cut that session into one vertical video, under 90 seconds, that credits Star 97.7, sends people to ZAOstock on Saturday, and is ready to post to Instagram as it is. Best cut wins the pot. ZAOstock is a free music festival on Saturday October 3, 2026, in Ellsworth, Maine. Franklin Street closes to traffic and eight independent acts play back to back on the parklet stage from noon to six. Free, all ages, rain or shine. It streams live at https://zaostock.com/live. Two days out, and this closes at 5pm Eastern Friday, so make it today. WHY THIS ROUND EXISTS Star 97.7 is the festival's media partner and they put Zaal on air two days before the show. The six minutes that came out of it say everything the festival needs said, in his voice and theirs. One good cut of it is a post for us, a post for Star 97.7, and a post every other partner can share. Round two's winner did exactly this with the September interview from the kit, so it is a known shape. THE SOURCE (use either, or both) - The session, 6 minutes 19 seconds, mp3: https://zaostock.com/brand/audio/zaostock-radio-update-2026-10-01.mp3 - A timed transcript of it, srt, for cut points and captions (names are machine-spelled, fix them against the lineup page): https://poidhz.com/assets/brand-kits/zaostock/zaostock-radio-session-2026-10-01.srt - The full stream of the slot, with the studio on camera: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2888849470 Passages worth knowing, by minute and second in the mp3: - 2:29 to 2:38, the host: downtown Ellsworth, this Saturday, 12 noon, "more next on Star 97.7" - 2:44 to 2:56, the host: Franklin Street Parklet at noon Saturday, "somebody said better call Zaal, so we did" - 3:02 to 4:37: all eight acts named in running order - 4:37 to 4:41: "And it's all free." "Exactly. All free." - 5:22 to 5:35: free to attend, no ticket, no gate, support the artists at zaostock.com - 5:43 to 6:15: thanks to Star 97.7 and the partners, "come join us on Saturday" THE BAR (these are requirements, not preferences) 1. Vertical, 1080x1920, 90 seconds or under, exported as a video file. It has to be postable to Instagram with no further editing. 2. Credit Star 97.7 on screen, by name, for long enough to read. The audio already names the station; the text has to as well, because a reel plays muted first. 3. Carry the three facts: ZAOstock, Saturday October 3, Ellsworth Maine. Noon to six and free are the next two. End on the festival: the last frame shows zaostock.com, readable, for long enough to type. 4. Captions, burned in, word for word to what is said. Most people will watch this with the sound off. 5. The audio is the session. Use original voice from the mp3 or the VOD. No library music over speech. A quiet instrumental under it is fine if it never competes with a word. 6. No editor watermark and no corner mark from any tool. It puts another brand on ours and on Star 97.7's. 7. Use the real brand assets, linked below. No redrawn moose, no invented people, no made-up band names. These are real artists playing a real show. 8. UPLOAD ONE FRAME HERE AND PUT TWO LINKS IN YOUR CLAIM. poidh puts uploads on IPFS and takes images, not video. So upload a frame from your cut as the claim image, and in the description give (a) the public post or page where the video plays and (b) a direct download of the video file, Drive, Dropbox or similar, open to anyone with the link. The file is what gets posted and what partners reuse, so without the file link there is no entry. 9. Post your cut in the /zao channel on Farcaster, or tag @bettercallzaal on X. Not required, and it never disqualifies you, but /zao is where the entries get seen next to each other, and it is how you get notes back before the close. WHAT EARNS WEIGHT - It works muted. Date, place and the station are readable in the first three seconds without sound. - It sells the day, not the interview. Someone who has never heard of ZAOstock should finish it knowing where to be on Saturday and wanting to go. - It is one idea, not six minutes squeezed into ninety seconds. A cut built on one passage, with the facts on screen, beats a highlight reel. - Zaal and the hosts both get to speak. The hosts saying "this Saturday at noon" is worth more than Zaal saying it, because it is someone else vouching for the day. - The acts are spelled the way the lineup page spells them: https://zaostock.com/artists - It would sit on Star 97.7's own Instagram without embarrassing them. That is the test for the credit and for the taste. - The timestamps in the claim: tell us which seconds of the mp3 you used. THE ASSET KIT (use any of this for your entry) - Everything in one download: https://zaostock.com/brand/zaostock-brand-kit.zip - The brand page, each file separately: https://zaostock.com/brand - The moose, primary mark: https://zaostock.com/brand/logos/zaostock26_moose.png - The lineup, all eight acts: https://zaostock.com/artists - VIDEO - the logo draw animation, a ready-made opener or closer: https://zaostock.com/brand/video/logo-draw-animation.mp4 - AUDIO - the 30-second ZAOstock spot, if you want a sting: https://zaostock.com/brand/audio/zaostock-commercial-30s.mp3 The moose mark is by attabotty. Keep the ZAOstock name visible in your final piece. THE REWARD Winner takes the whole pot. This is an OPEN bounty, so the pot is whatever this page says it is right now, and it grows in real time as others contribute. Read the number at the top of this page, not a number in this text. Every submitter earns $ZABAL automatically through the POIDH Submitters leaderboard on Empire Builder, and the drop scales with how many BCZ rounds you have entered in total. Track it live: https://www.empirebuilder.world/empire/0xbb48f19b0494ff7c1fe5dc2032aeee14312f0b07 This bounty promises the pot and nothing else. We want to post the winning cut on our channels and share it with Star 97.7 and the other partners, and we probably will, but it is not written here as a commitment. This programme has a record of making publication promises it did not keep, and you can read that record at https://poidhz.com/about HOW THE WINNER IS PICKED Everyone who enters gets a note back on their piece, win or lose. One thing it did and one thing to do better. Zaal picks Friday evening, after the close, with the entries in front of him. Everyone who added to the pot then has two days to vote on the pick before it pays out. The people who paid for it get a say. Discord: https://discord.thezao.com DEADLINE Submissions close 5:00pm Eastern, Friday October 2, 2026. Pick named Friday evening. ZAOstock is Saturday October 3, so a cut that lands after the show is worth nothing, which is why this closes fast. The festival: https://zaostock.com <!-- PASTE ABOVE THIS LINE -->

Saturday, act by act: the Star 97.7 session as the day's running order (73 s)

https://x.com/assay_gr/status/2105906935770022167
Notes: The schedule builds on screen as Zaal names each act, so a list became the reason to keep watching.

Measured: 73.2 seconds, 1080x1920, h264 with aac. A header reading LIVE ON STAR 97.7, ZAOstock, Sat Oct 3, Ellsworth Maine, noon to 6 and free sits on screen from the first frame, so it works muted from the start. The hosts speak first and vouch for the day. Every act name and every set time on the running order matched zaostock.com/program when it was checked, and the end card holds zaostock.com for about seven seconds. The speech is the session's own, transcribed and matched on 5 Oct.

The file is heavy for passing around. 50 MB for 73 seconds. Partners reuse the file, and a lower bitrate would cost nothing visible on a phone. Encoding to roughly half the size is worth a minute before you upload.

Your download link expires. The filebin link says it is kept until 9 October. A winning or shared piece needs a link that lasts; keep one copy somewhere permanent and put that in the claim.

ZAOstock Round 8 - Cut The Radio Session For Instagram

https://x.com/SkyCrypto58/status/2106133684789113247
Notes: Keeping the date, the street and free on screen for the whole reel was the right instinct.

The round's facts stay on a translucent card over photographs for the whole piece, with word-lit captions and a Star 97.7 mark. This claim arrived after the stated close of 5:00pm Eastern on 2 October (the linked X post is timed 5:26pm), so it was read but was outside the round.

The town is Ellsworth, Maine. The card reads 'ELLSWORTH, MAIN'. Check the place name in every frame; it is the fact people act on.

Check every act name against the lineup page. Three act names are misspelled on screen. https://zaostock.com/artists spells each one; copy them from there.

End on the site, and link the file. No sampled frame shows zaostock.com, and the claim links only the X post. The round asked for a direct download of the video file, and for the last frame to show the address.

Kai AI - ZAOstock Star 97.7 radio reel

https://f005.backblazeb2.com/file/kai-agi-competitive-brief-2026/media/zaostock-radio-9800/20261002/index.html
Notes: Short, complete and clear, with the site address on screen the whole way.

Measured: 57.5 seconds, 1080x1920, h264. ZAOstock, Saturday October 3, Ellsworth Maine, 'On air with Star 97.7', noon to six and free stay on screen throughout, the captions follow the session's own voices, and the claim names the exact cuts it used from the mp3 and says plainly what is and is not yours.

Attach a frame. The claim has no image, and the round asked for one frame from the cut as the claim image. Without it the claim shows nothing in the feed where people decide whether to look.

Give the station credit some size, and end on a card. The Star 97.7 line is small next to everything else, and there is no closing card; the layout simply stops. A held final frame with zaostock.com is what the round asked the last frame to be.

Use the kit's type. The type is a system font. The brand kit has the festival's own; using it makes the piece read as part of the festival rather than about it.

I made an interesting clip for ZaoStock

https://x.com/pascaline7933/status/2106105416073531904
Notes: The captions have energy and the closing card is clear.

Measured: 88.8 seconds, 1080x1920, hevc with aac. Studio footage throughout, word-by-word captions with highlighted words, a Credit: Star 97.7 title at the start, and a closing card with Saturday October 3 2026, Franklin Street Parklet, Ellsworth Maine, noon to 6, free and zaostock.com, held for about four seconds. You posted on X and listed every passage of the mp3 you used.

Put the date and the town up front. Saturday, October 3 and Ellsworth do not appear on screen until the closing card. A muted viewer who scrolls in the first three seconds never learns where or when.

Fill the frame. Parts of the cut sit inside black bars. A reel that does not fill the vertical frame looks unfinished in the feed; crop the studio shot to fill it.

Spell it ZAOstock. The captions read 'Zao Stock'. One word, ZAO in capitals.

@leoxcraneclaim 8449

one vertical cut of the studio session

https://farcaster.xyz/leoxcrane/0x04f57f6b
Notes: Date, town, noon and free are readable in the first second without sound.

Measured: 87.1 seconds, 1080x1920, h264. A LIVE ON STAR 97.7 tag and the festival facts are on screen in the first frame, a clean lineup card names the acts as the lineup page spells them, and it ends on zaostock.com. The speech is the session's own, transcribed and matched on 5 Oct, and you posted it in a public Farcaster cast with a Dropbox file link anyone can open.

Open on a better shot. The first frames look up at the ceiling from under the chin. The opening second is the one that decides whether anyone keeps watching; start on the studio wide or on the facts card instead.

Hold the last card longer. The final card with zaostock.com is on screen for about three seconds. Someone who wants to type the address needs five or more.

One line repeats. The transcript has 'ZAOstock is coming' twice near the start. Cut one and the opening tightens.

CLIP FOR THE ZAOSTOCK MUSIC FESTIVAL

https://farcaster.xyz/noniwontmiss/0x11d68bb5
Notes: The lineup card with each act's photo is a strong graphic, and the closing card is clear.

Measured: 77.1 seconds, 1080x1920, hevc with aac. You built real designed cards around the session: a title card, a lineup with artist photos and genres, and a closing card with Saturday October 3, noon to six, Franklin Street Parklet and zaostock.com held for about five seconds. You posted to both Farcaster and X and listed the seconds of the mp3 you used.

Link the video file itself. The download link opens a 7z archive holding the video and three posters, not a video. Partners and Instagram need the mp4 directly; zip nothing.

Heard on Star 97.7, not presented by. 'Star 97.7 presents' says the station is putting on the festival. It is the media partner that had Zaal on air. 'Heard on Star 97.7' is accurate.

Keep the captions off the lineup. On the lineup cards the captions sit on top of the act names, so neither can be read in that moment.

The reel that actually plays - fourth and last claim on this file

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/italeex/ZAOstock/assets/reel8-frame/public/brand/reel8/zaostock-radio-reel.mp4
Notes: One clear idea held for the whole reel, and an honest account of each failed upload.

Measured: 82.4 seconds, 1080x1920, h264, faststart, hosted where it plays. The reel is built on one idea, that the festival is free, the host speaks before Zaal, the end card holds zaostock.com for about seven seconds, and the claim explains plainly what went wrong with each earlier upload. Claims 8441, 8442, 8443, 8444 and 8446 are read as this one entry, as you asked.

Check the first frame before you upload. For the first nine seconds the title block and the captions are drawn on top of each other, and neither can be read. That is the stretch a muted viewer sees first.

Spell it ZAOstock. A caption reads 'Zal Stock'. Captions are the part people read; check the festival's name in every one.

One claim, corrected, beats five. Five claims for one reel make the bounty page harder to read for everyone judging it. Test the file link from outside your own network before the first claim, and the rest are not needed.

ZAOstock R8: radio session cut, 63s vertical reel (Star 97.7 credited)

https://video.nostr.build/5dbdb642a274ca49ad6fd19c731992ad41e63f7cf59f7426371356e1c75d679d.mp4
Notes: The facts never leave the screen, so a viewer who drops in at any second knows where to be.

Measured: 63.2 seconds, 1080x1920, h264 with aac. The date, the town, noon to six, free and 'Heard on Star 97.7' stay on screen for the whole runtime, the captions follow the speech, and it ends on zaostock.com for about four seconds. It was the first entry in, the same day the round opened, and the claim lists the exact seconds of the mp3 it used.

Use the picture, not only the sound. The whole piece is a still moose card under the audio. The round linked the stream of the studio slot; the hosts on camera vouching for the day is what turns a poster with a voice into a reel.

Say who you are. poidh shows no handle for your wallet, so this note can only address it by its first characters. A Farcaster or X handle on the claim lets people find your other work.
